L'artiste Marie Lannoo s'attaque au concept de la perception avec dextérité. Utilisant de nombreuses couches de medium translucide, Lannoo créée des tableaux qui ont une profondeur intrinsèque. Les surfaces brillantes de ses images abstraites attirent l'observateur dans un univers où la peinture elle-même devient un symbole, un alphabet. Inspirée par les signes abstraits du langage et ayant recours aux propriétés physiques de la peinture comme véhicule, Lannoo  examine notre façon de percevoir et de voir les choses.

Artist Marie Lannoo deftly tackles the concept of perception. Using multiple layers of translucent medium, Lannoo creates paintings which have a depth in themselves. The glossy surfaces of her abstract images draw the viewer into a world in which paint itself has become a symbol, an alphabet. Inspired by abstract language symbols, and using the physical properties of paint as a vehicle, Lannoo subtly investigates the act of perception, and of sight.
