Mon éducation artistique est principalement tournée vers l'art académique du 19e siècle. Néanmoins, à l'aide de cette formation, je fais une peinture contemporaine, mais imprégnée de  la figure humaine et de sa psychologie. Je garde toujours à  l'esprit la narration psychologique sous-jacente au tableau ainsi que celle apparente entre les sujets. Souvent, cette composante psychologique devient primordial.

Mes dernières oeuvres ont été inspirées par un voyage au Népal qui incluait un trekking de 24 jours aux monts Annapurna. Ce travail combinant des études de figures et des paysages, est une exploration de la surface de la toile, de la texture et de la lumière.

My training has been in the school of the nineteenth century classical academies and my interest is in using that formal training, with its emphasis on understanding the human figure, to explore contemporary issues and states of mind. I keep in mind the psychological narrative that may appear within and between the subjects of my paintings. Often this psychological component becomes paramount.

My latest body of work was inspired by a trip to Nepal with my partner which included a twenty four day trek around the Annapurna mountains. This worked combined figure studies, portraits and landscape in an exploration of surface, texture and light.
